- Abstract: Enzymatic catalysis is a promising route for obtaining highly pure emollient esters without generating any by-products, thus resulting in a more environmentally friendly alternative. Lipase immobilization on magnetized copolymers aims to increase the reactional stability of the enzyme and facilitate its recovery at the end of the bioprocess. The present work evaluated ester octyl synthesis catalyzed by Candida antarctica (CALB) and Penicillium camembertii (Lipase G) lipases immobilized in magnetized poly (styrene-co-triethylene glycol dimethacrylate).
